Meditation Tuesdays7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Debra Barbarick, CMT, Facilitating
“In the quiet time just open your heart and mind and ask”
–Sara Marriot, mystic and meditation teacher from the Findhorn Community.
The benefits of meditation on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels of our being are profound. On a physical level alone meditation has been proven to lower blood pressure, strengthen the immune system and change the white matter in our brains. It is of inestimable value for reducing stress and successfully adapting to the challenging times in which we live.
But, because meditation can be as challenging and exquisitely delicate as learning to play a violin we need support and group meditation is a delightful way to support and build your practice.
In our group we will study and practice the fundamentals of meditation: posture, breath, focus and intention and have opportunity to share our experiences.
We will also learn and practice Quan Yin sitting Qi Gong to help us relax and prepare for meditation
Every Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m., starting July 30
On a donation basis.
